Since July 2020, the team of Alarme Phone Sahara (APS) in Agadez/Niger has been organising with great commitment every Saturday a collective kitchen for migrants currently living in the city of Agadez.
The collective kitchen is a practical answer to a situation in which many migrants and refugees are stranded in Niger and struggle for survival every day under very precarious conditions. This situation has been extremely exacerbated by the global corona crisis.
For the end of the year 2020, Alarme Phone Sahara is calling for support by donations for the Collective Kitchen for migrants and refugees who are stranded in Agadez / Niger. The Collective Kitchen is a project of practical solidarity with the people who are blocked by policies of deportations, pushbacks and repressive border regime - a situation further aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Alarme Phone Sahara, together with Afrique-Europe Interact, supports the struggle for the liberation of the representatives of the Nigerien civil society arrested after a demonstration against corruption and bad governance on 15th of March 2020 in Niamey, capital of Niger.
